Today, our electricians, apprentices, estimators, project leaders, administrators and support staff work together, each contributing to the quality of service our customers receive. From the first conversation and planning through to installation in the field, every part of the process matters.

Kimberley Preeper
Owner & Estimator
Kimberley has been part of D&S Electric since 2012 and became its owner in 2015, taking responsibility for helping steward a company that has served Central British Columbia since 1985.
Much of Kimberley’s work happens behind the scenes. She is involved in estimating, customer communication, project planning, business operations, financial management, human resources, safety, marketing and long-term planning—helping ensure the people working in the field have the support and resources they need to serve customers well.
Her approach to business is practical and people-focused. She believes good service involves more than completing electrical work. It means communicating clearly, treating people fairly, following through on commitments and taking responsibility when challenges arise.
Kimberley’s faith shapes the way she approaches both leadership and stewardship. She believes that her responsibility is to care faithfully for the people, resources and opportunities entrusted to the company.
She is especially passionate about developing people and creating opportunities for the next generation of tradespeople. Kimberley has advocated for greater access to local trades training so apprentices and young people in the Cariboo can develop their careers closer to home.
For Kimberley, leadership is not about being the centre of D&S Electric. It is about serving the people who make the company possible, honouring those who helped build it before her, and helping ensure D&S remains a company known for integrity, accountability, quality workmanship and genuine care.

Natasha Wilson
Contracts, Legal & Strategic Advisor
Natasha supports D&S Electric on the legal, financial and people side of the business, helping ensure the company approaches its commitments with clarity, accountability and sound judgment.
Working remotely on a part-time basis, she oversees contracts and negotiations and provides strategic guidance on financial, human resources and business matters as needed.
A significant part of Natasha’s role is helping D&S Electric enter projects on solid ground. She reviews agreements, supports negotiations with customers, contractors, partners and subcontractors, and helps ensure the terms we accept are clear, fair and appropriate for the work being undertaken.
Her experience also provides D&S Electric with senior-level perspective when important business decisions arise. Whether the issue involves financial planning, governance, HR or the structure of a new opportunity, Natasha serves as a trusted advisor and sounding board to the leadership team.
Her role reflects an important principle in the way D&S Electric operates: we do not believe every responsibility should be carried by one person. Bringing the right knowledge and counsel into the right decisions helps us steward the business more carefully, protect the people involved and make better long-term choices.
By contributing expertise where it is needed, Natasha helps D&S Electric maintain the personal, community-rooted character that has defined the company since 1985 while strengthening the structure and accountability needed to serve residential, commercial, industrial and community-based projects responsibly.

Eric Preeper
Warehouse, Recycling & Equipment Operations
Eric plays an important behind-the-scenes role in keeping D&S Electric prepared, organized and ready to serve customers across a large and often remote service area.
He manages the warehouse and inventory that support our field crews, helping ensure electricians and apprentices have the parts, materials and tools they need before they leave for a project. In a region where forgotten materials can mean hours of extra travel or costly delays, that preparation matters.
Eric also oversees D&S Electric’s Product Care and light recycling program, providing customers and the community with a responsible local option for recycling spent lamps, ballasts and other lighting waste. It is one more way we try to care well for the resources and communities entrusted to us.
In the field, Eric operates D&S Electric’s mini excavator and skid steer, supporting trenching, site preparation, pole service work and other projects that require equipment beyond the electrical installation itself. His equipment experience helps D&S provide a more complete service while keeping coordination within our own team.
He has also provided hands-on support at industrial sites, bringing the same dependable, practical approach to remote and demanding environments.
Eric’s contribution is a good example of how every role at D&S Electric matters. Customers may not always see the warehouse preparation, material handling, recycling coordination or equipment work that happens before an electrician arrives, but those efforts help our crews work more efficiently and serve customers more responsibly.

Laszlo Meszaros
FSR Class B, Project Manager & Estimator
Laszlo plays a key technical and leadership role at D&S Electric, combining electrical safety oversight, project management and estimating across residential, commercial, industrial and remote work.
As D&S Electric’s licensed FSR, Laszlo is responsible for electrical permitting, code compliance and safety oversight on the work we perform. His experience includes Silver Label inspections, deficiency corrections, service upgrades and ensuring projects meet the requirements of the BC Electrical Code.
As Project Manager, Laszlo helps coordinate crews, schedules, materials and complex project requirements from planning through field execution. His work has included major First Nations community projects, industrial service and maintenance, commercial installations and remote projects throughout the Cariboo-Chilcotin.
Laszlo also prepares estimates, scopes of work and material take-offs for many of the projects D&S Electric undertakes. His practical field experience helps ensure those estimates reflect the realities of the job—not just what appears on paper.
His understanding of electrical code, permitting, regional conditions and remote work makes him an important part of the team when projects require careful planning, technical judgment and strong coordination.
Laszlo’s role reflects the same principle that guides the rest of D&S Electric: responsibility should be carried by people who are prepared for it. Through careful oversight, planning and collaboration with the field and office teams, he helps ensure the work entrusted to D&S Electric is completed safely, responsibly and to a high standard.

Dan O'Connor
Industrial, Commercial & Residential Electrician
Dan is a Journeyman Electrician with D&S Electric whose experience spans residential, commercial, industrial and remote community work throughout the Cariboo-Chilcotin.
His work has taken him from everyday service calls in Williams Lake and surrounding communities to industrial sites, First Nations projects, remote facilities and electrical installations along the Bella Coola Highway.
Dan brings a broad, practical skill set to the field. His experience includes electrical service and panel upgrades, generator work, commercial and industrial equipment connections, lighting installations, HVAC and pump circuits, troubleshooting, renovations and specialized electrical installations.
He is especially experienced at diagnostic and service work, where understanding the problem, thinking through the electrical system and finding a practical solution are often just as important as the installation itself.
Working throughout rural and remote British Columbia also requires adaptability and preparation. Dan understands that when a project is hours from the shop, customers are relying on our crews to arrive prepared, work safely and use their time and resources responsibly.
Whether he is working in someone’s home, an active business, an industrial facility or a remote community, Dan brings the same practical approach: understand the task, work carefully, solve the problem and contribute his experience to the team.
His versatility and willingness to take on a wide range of work make him an important part of D&S Electric’s field crew and of our ability to serve the diverse electrical needs of the region.

Jamie Riddle
Journeyman Electrician | Fire Alarm Certification in Progress
Jamie is a Journeyman Electrician with D&S Electric whose experience spans residential, commercial, industrial, institutional and remote community projects throughout the region.
His work reflects the variety that comes with electrical contracting in Central British Columbia—from home renovations, service upgrades and generator installations to commercial construction, industrial equipment, EV charging, First Nations community projects and life-safety systems.
Jamie is currently expanding his expertise in fire alarm and life-safety systems through additional certification and manufacturer-specific training. He has already gained hands-on experience with fire alarm panel replacements, system repairs, inspections and additions in hotels, commercial properties, schools and other facilities throughout the region.
This continued training reflects something we value at D&S Electric: experience should not be the end of learning. As technologies, codes and customer needs change, we believe our responsibility is to continue developing the knowledge and skills required to serve people safely and well.
Jamie has also contributed to significant commercial and community projects, including the Nemiah Community Centre at Xeni Gwet’in, commercial renovations, BC Hydro energy-efficiency projects, three-phase equipment installations and electrical work in remote locations throughout the Cariboo-Chilcotin.
Whether he is troubleshooting a problem in someone’s home, completing a commercial installation or working on a larger community project, Jamie brings care, attention to detail and a willingness to understand the work before simply completing the task.
His growing specialization, broad field experience and commitment to continuing education make Jamie an important part of both the work D&S Electric performs today and the capabilities we are building for the future.

Olivia Finamore
Apprentice Electrician | Third-Year Technical Training Completed
Olivia is an Apprentice Electrician with D&S Electric, working toward her journeyman ticket while continuing to build the hands-on experience and field hours that are an essential part of learning the trade.
Having completed her third year of electrical technical training, Olivia now works alongside D&S Electric’s journeymen and Field Safety Representative on a wide variety of projects throughout the Cariboo-Chilcotin and surrounding region.
Her apprenticeship has already given her exposure to residential renovations and service work, commercial and industrial sites, community projects, service and panel upgrades, lighting installations, troubleshooting, energy-efficiency work and electrical safety and compliance.
Olivia has also contributed to significant projects including the Nemiah Community Centre at Xeni Gwet’in, commercial and industrial work throughout the region, housing projects and BC Hydro-supported energy-efficiency upgrades.
Apprenticeship is about much more than accumulating hours. It is the process of learning judgment, workmanship, responsibility and safe work practices from experienced tradespeople while gradually developing the skills to carry greater responsibility independently.
We believe training the next generation of electricians is part of our responsibility as a company. Knowledge gained over years in the trade should be shared, practiced and passed forward rather than allowed to end with one generation.
Olivia represents that next generation at D&S Electric. As she continues learning in the field, she is building not only toward her journeyman certification, but toward the knowledge, confidence and practical experience needed to serve customers and communities well throughout her career.

Jessica Judd
Office Manager
Jessica is the Office Manager at D&S Electric, helping coordinate the administrative and operational details that keep projects organized from the first phone call through final documentation and billing.
From our Williams Lake office, she supports scheduling, accounts receivable, project documentation, inventory coordination and customer service for our retail storefront. She works closely with ownership, estimating, project management and the field team to help ensure that what is quoted and scheduled is properly tracked, documented and followed through.
A large part of Jessica’s role is bringing structure to the many moving pieces behind an electrical project. That can include coordinating schedules with customers and contractors, helping arrange utility-related work, maintaining job records, preparing close-out documentation and making sure information moves accurately between the office and the field.
She also supports our retail and inventory operations, helping customers who visit the Williams Lake storefront and working with the team to keep materials and information organized for upcoming work.
Good administration may happen behind the scenes, but it directly affects the customer experience. Clear records, accurate communication, organized scheduling and proper follow-through all help our crews arrive better prepared and help customers understand what is happening with their project.
Jessica brings care, organization and accountability to that responsibility and plays an important part in helping D&S Electric serve customers consistently across our wide service area.

A successful electrical project depends on more than the work completed on site.
Behind every project are conversations, estimates, schedules, materials, permits, documentation, technical decisions and people carrying different responsibilities. When those pieces work together well, the result is a safer, more organized and more efficient project for the customer.
At D&S Electric, our office and field teams work together throughout the life of a project. Estimating helps define the scope. Project management helps coordinate the work. Administration keeps information, scheduling and documentation organized. Warehouse and material support help prepare our crews. Our electricians and apprentices bring the plan to life safely in the field.
Each role is different, but none stands alone.
