Available Positions

  • D&S Electric in Williams Lake, BC currently has positions for Industrial Certified Electricians.

    Starting Salary $42.00/hour +4% Vacation Pay. A fulltime position, shift is 7 on & 7 off, 12 hrs onsite, travel time, and a complete extended health benefit package.

    Accommodations if required can be arranged.

    Applicants should be proficient in Industrial work sites, and previous mining experience is an asset.

    Owners of this work site require all workers to be double vaccinated. Work site is in central interior of BC and winter driving experience is required.

    The ability to trouble shoot, preform maintenance and repairs is an asset.

    The applicants must be willing to complete skills and training sessions and upgrades as provided by the company.

    Applicants’ Experience should include;
    V.F.D’s, MCC’s, & PLC’s
    General knowledge in milling & instrumentation
    Shovels, Pumps, Drills, Motors, Switchgear etc.
    Splice Shack and Pit Maintenance experience is an asset
    Preventative Maintenance and Shut downs
    Electric Drive Haul Trucks

    SKILL/EDUCATION:
    Customer Service Skills
    Valid class 5 Driver’s License with winter driving experience
    Red Seal Certified Electrician
    Physically Fit to preform duties Communication skills Documentation skills
    Ability to encourage, foster and manage, differences and diversity at the work site.
    Aptitude to problem solve and think “outside the box”.
    Able to work unsupervised
    Able to effectively supervise, train and motivate apprentices including managing safety on project sites.

  • Starting Salary $33.10/hour +4% Vacation Pay. A fulltime position, minimum 40 hours per week, overtime, and a complete extended health benefit package.

    Various work sites are through out the central interior of British Columbia, with a wide range of residential and commercial projects.

    Applicants should have experience in both residential and commercial environments. This includes new construction, renovations, and tenant improvements.

    The ability to attend general service / trouble calls, commercial maintenance and repairs is an asset. Strong knowledge and ability to interpret electrical code specifications is required.

    The applicants must be willing to complete skills and training sessions and upgrades as provided by the company.

    General duty requirements include New services; Ranging from 100a -800a, single and 3 phase.
    Building pole services, as well as underground and overhead services
    Residential - branch wiring and code requirements
    Commercial/Institutional -branch wiring and code requirements
    Knowledge with lighting and lighting control and the ability to provide clientele with recommendations
    Trouble shooting skills (common issues are loss of phase, old aluminum wiring and bad splicing) Knowledge in electric heating and LVT wiring
    Knowledge in generators, generator panels and transfer switches including the ability to properly size and provide recommendations to clients
